About Us:

Game Saru was established in 2017 with one goal: to bring the high-quality arcades of Japan to America for people to play, experience, and own. Our passion for the history of these games and the love we have for them is what inspired us in the beginning, and it continues to drive us today. We pride ourselves in the superior experience of our arcade, the machines we sell, and the long-term relationships we've built with our customers. People come back to Game Saru because they know they will find what they are looking for. Stop by or drop us a line to see for yourself!

David Rocovits "Cereth" (Owner/Import Manager)

David filed for a business license for Game Saru on January 4th, 2018 with one main goal in mind: bring free play arcades to Fanime. For years, many in the NorCal community sought to make this happen, but were never taken seriously. The formation of a business entity was necessary to open the door, and it fell on him to do it. What started as a desire to fulfill this one objective turned into a five-year commitment to build the finest Japanese arcade rental and sales company the West Coast has ever seen. It took a massive sacrifice to grow the empire in such a short time.

David was not always so focused on the goal, nor did he jump in with no experience. Before founding Game Saru, he spent 13 years staffing conventions in various departments from logistics to gaming. Along with Abe Navarro, he provided for many NorCal game rooms, and learned a lot of the skills necessary to provide successfully for a convention with both console and arcade gaming equipment. He also dabbled in importing for resale on a much smaller scale, which gave him insight into how to source, list, and sell product, as well as hone skills interacting with customers.

During recreation periods, David can be found playing JRPGs, an assortment of rhythm games, shmups, and platformers. You will also find him in cosplay at most conventions. When away from the busy world, he enjoys hiking, swimming, and camping.

Abe Navarro "Skyline" (Events Coordinator)

Yes, that's Abe. Really. Actually Klonoa. I can't make this up. Rupurudu!

Jace Ganuar "KittyPlay" (Events Coordinator)

Jace started at Game Saru, unaware she would work for Game Saru. July 2021 She was in Ontario for a different job and was trying to find something to do during her downtime. Ended up at the Ontario Convention center from a recommendation and contact from their partner with David. Once showing up, she started working with no direction and ended up setting most of the layout and getting games ready. The rest is history after that.

Jace/Kitty has been working with David on almost every convention after that, moving into 2023. Now working to tailor game experiences and coordinate logistics with Event Runners, Staff, and Event Centers to bring amazing collections of new and old arcade games to the players!
